24 versus Lost: The final showdown

With the start of Lost right around the corner, I felt it curiously necessary to give a quick reminder of my humbly informed, undeniably unbiased, and surprisingly irrefutable evaluation of the aesthetic and cinematic qualities of each show.
24 vs. Lost: I think we can all see that this settles it.

I demand a re-count. Jack Bauer probably has google's kid in custody in order to tip the scales in his favor. Typical.
Apparently "Aesthetics" is a course you have failed to take thus far in your academic career...
I am sure you are pleased with this verdict seeing how you seem to be quite the 24 fan.
Since I do not really have a side to claim... I commend you and your win. Congrats!
Are there shows other than 24? I wasn't aware!
Hey, Burgundy.
You know those sample audiences
aren't big enough! Stop hiding behind those phony numbers,
Burgundy!
That settles it? Please. No more convincing than this.
"Now, I'm not out to make you all statisticians. My aim is for you to learn just enough about statistics to be dangerous." --my college Business Statistics professor
Were you in my class? ;-)
I think maybe hardcore lost fan is masquerading as "Matt" and trying to use words like "statisticians" to confuse us. J/K.
I concede your point about the perhaps non-finality of a google fight. However, in the non-reality based blogosphere, I think i am entitled to use search engine powered progams to definitively settle deep-seated disputes! Again, J/k.
Still trying to figure out what Michael's comment means,
I think michael's comment means, "24 will never be as cool as lost"
Lost is an excellent TV show. 24 is a glorious cinematic masterpiece that graces television with its presence simply because no theatrical format could handle the explosive energy contained therein. Jack Bauer is his own adrenal gland.
simply because no theatrical format could handle the explosive energy contained therein.
A wise man.
Ah yes. I can see why Lost is boring to you.
A great fall - a struggle to return to the pre-fall life through the leadership of a great healer - a string that runs through the events of the story's history in a seemingly
"preordained" way - a struggle with both the evil of the "others" and the evil inside ourselves.
I mean, I guess you really have to have eyes to see and ears to hear the beauty of a narrative like that.
Point well taken Michael. Point well taken.
I can see why Lost is boring to you.
On the contrary, I do in fact enjoy watching Lost. I have eyes to see the subtle "goodness" of the "extended narrative beauty" of the series. However, there are those of us who have moved on to the greater good...those of us who have moved past the elementary teaching and have pressed on to maturity.
Hop on my site and scroll down for the definititive 24/Lost conversation.

I think its safe to say that I'm in complete agreement with the results of this "definitive" evaluation!
well, there's one thing I don't believe you've considered. That being: Lost has been off the air for like 3 months (we can discuss THAT strategy later) while 24 is in full swing. It would be interesting to have a re-match somewhere around 4 weeks from now...
Good observation. I smell a rematch 4 weeks from today!
"Since I do not really have a side to claim..." says the one who watched EVERY lost episode over the break.
but it's kinda ridiculous that a number is even allowed to enter google fight. i'm just saying.
This argument cannot be refuted!
