Wikipedia's Shady Truth Claim

Wikipedia claims that it can disambiguate Truth:

The hubris is staggering. :)

we live in a culture where everyone is supposed to be looking for truth but if anyone finds it they're labeled a crazy person.

"we live in a culture . . . "

True. But the wiki was able to "disambiguate" the search for truth from a Japanese Boy Band's 23rd single, a Jeff Beck Album, a professional wrestler, and a "a Prophet in the fictitious video game series Halo".

Not to shabby. :)

Hi, Im from Australia.

Of course implicit (or very explicit!) in your blog and this post is that you are committed to the "Truth"---but are you?

Please check out these related references on Truth and the supposed search for "truth".

I occasionally post annotations that I make as I read Cormac McCarthy at "Reading Cormac McCarthy."
