I'm glad you liked the reveiw. Childs makes some very interesting observations about Paul's letters. There are definitely some elements of his approach that I'm cautious about, but I think he's on to something helpful overall.

Let me know when you formally make the case for Philippians as the center of Paul's theology.

I'd be glad to dismiss it. :)

Great synopsis, Ched. Sounds like an interesting work.

I have a pet academic theory that the centerpiece of Paul's theology should be Phillipians, not Romans or Ephesians. Someday I'm going to write a book or paper that argues as much.

I suspect the proposal won't rise to the level of being dismissed. : )
