High Altitudes and Low Political Efficacy, or Bailouts and Nose-Dives

Yesterday, I read two news stories within a few minutes of each other:

1. "A 40-Year Old Swiss Man attempts to Jump out of a Plane over the Alps and Soar Solo across the English Channel using only a single jet-propelled wing."


2. "The President, and prominent members of both political parties meet in a historic meeting of the nation's top political leaders to prevent financial calamity."

I am still not able to decide which attempt sounds most implausible.

As in both cases, a nose-dive is a striking possibility.

Further, I'm not sure for whom a "bail out" would be most disasterous.
