The Year of the Lumberjack, my NCAA Bracket Prediction

I just wanted to give y'all a heads up on the Southland Conference sleeper pick that will rock this year's NCAA Basketball tourney.

I.e., the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (my alma mater) over the Syracuse Orangemen in the first round. They might be the #3 team in the South, but they've never had to face the Battle Axe of a Lumberjack.

Once we upset the Syracuse Orangemen, we will dispatch the remaining teams one by one, with methodical precision.

I keep hearing analysts say, "Syracuse can beat SFA for sure," or "Syracuse will have no problem getting out of the first round," and "it's been a great run for the Lumberjacks, but IT ENDS in the first round."

But, you heard it first here. The year of the Lumberjack is upon us.

The Game is Friday, 3/20, 11:30am. Axe 'em Jacks.

Update: Jacks-44; Orangemen-59;

Just like old times.
