The Grave is Overwhelmed

"Therefore, comfort one another with these words."
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
—Chris Tomlin, "I will Rise"

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. . . .

And the dead in Christ will rise first.
—1 Thess 4:13-16
