Reading and Believing in the Earliest Churches

I recently joined Brandon Smith and Stephen Presley on the Church Grammar podcast to discuss the early church theologian Irenaeus and Stephen’s excellent new book on how the early church engaged their cultural context (Cultural Sanctification: Engaging the World Like the Early Church).

Brandon has also recently published a helpful volume on the value of premodern hermeneutics (Taught by God: Ancient Hermeneutics for a Modern Church), so our discussion included Bible reading, the nature of the gospel, and the value of church history as well.

Church Grammar is worth subscribing to for sure.
